end of gluttons?

well, farewell and chalet is long gone. it’s sad really. I know i will miss the gluttons. lol.
spend the whole chalet watching dvds (high school musical, mean girls, pirates of carribean 2, series of unfortunate events, wallace and gromit, it started with a kiss). wow. and of coz there were those playing majong (i just learnt how to by claire.) and when mei jiao came…uno stacko.
it was due to the rain that we had to stay indoors.
thank goodness the rain stopped for us to have our bbq.chicken wings, hot dogs, mashmallows, crab meat, otah, sotong balls, corn, potatoes…yum! not bad. and the other meals had pasta for lunch and cereal for breakfast. and a lot of snacks in between plus tang yuan at night. good food.
And the exchanging of gifts and letters. sigh. farewell is always sad. hope that the gluttons never forget one another and most importantly, must rmbr to meet up! 🙂

watched the panto yesterday… not bad. but the whole theatre was filled with young kids… and very noisy coz they gave out this goodie pack with the programme. but the show was quite nice, better then last year’s Oi!Sleeping beauty!!. the puppets were so cute!!! haha. but the puppeters must have had a hard time… esp the one doing Ah Kow ( the effectively billingual cow. ahem. i mean dog.) not easy to be walking on four legs. the golden hit harp was also quite well designed to include Karen tan’s body. and of coz the beansprout. or taogei. lol. the twist at the end (where the giant is really the father of bamboo) is also unexpected. Ivan heng (widow neo) is as good as expected. really talented. Sebastian tan (jack) was good xcept i found that he kept spouting hokkien, he probably has a problem shaking off the "ah beng" (in ‘mr beng’, ‘broadway beng’, ‘army daze’) image he had been in so many shows?

back!

ok, ok i know i have been back two days ago. but only found the energy to blog (a short one) today. i had so much catching up to do! oh Europe was fanatasic btw, i loved London and Venice (or if you like…Venezia as they say in Italy)… beautiful.
it makes me feel how young s’pore is seeing all the ruins in Rome (i love the Colosseum!)and how safe it is on the roads (seeing how the foreigners cross their zebra crossings in florence and Paris.) and how clean the air is here! (their are plenty of smokers there in all the places i visited esp London!) And that singapore doesnt have as many unemployed ppl… (a lot of beggars… some even follow you all the way.) But of course there is so much to like about europe and Ldn. like the rich hertiage and museums and also churches! The best church being the one in Vatican city (St. Peter’s Basicila) due to all the sculptures of popes!
back to catching up… so much to do b4 farewell, and i m not juz talking about the performance but also the gifts! yepps. so till then! ciao. au revior. 🙂
