ct is finally over with biology morning paper today. my poor classmates still had to trudge through another geog paper in the afternoon. which ends… now. haha. i hope i don’t do too badly… but seeing how hard i crammed in biology information in one night… hmm… things do not look too promising. but i m still glad it is all over already (there were some lucky souls who finished yesterday!)
and i m looking forward to dinner at jane’s place with…. the GOH: Elaine who is coming back from aussie! 🙂
but first things first… braces. sigh…
oh and i finally found time to upload one eighth of the photos i took during the london paris trip with aep… i miss london and paris. hangover. haha.

hmm… i havent written anything ever since i came back from london.
suffered a bit of jet lag.. in the form of waking up at unearthly hours of the night (no. morning. EARLY morning.)
and i spent two days after the recovery from it painting. uob. i m very happy with it really. 🙂 finally finished.
and no… i m not going to blog about my trip to ldn paris unfortunately… for those who are dyign to know about my trip and are from njc… look out for an exhibition of our travel journals coming your way soon. it should be quite an interesting exhibition…everyone has a different way of recording the events.
so after comes the 1 whole day (yes…. only 1 day.) to study for common test (which i m still in the midst of).
gp was done and over yesterday… felt that i wrote a whole lot of ramblings. but who cares. i love the comprehension. the passage i mean. NOT the questions. i still have a problem with tranposing. it is horrible.
then had 3HOURS of math + 3HOURS of chemistry. my neck aches now. apparently everybody’s necks aches. I proclaim that the Lecture theatres are not a good place to have 3-hour long exams. with only a tiny table to work at to one side of the chair. how can one work properly?! maths was not as bad as expected, especially when you compare it to the killer chemistry paper. it all made us go "huh?! did we actually cover this?" and it was 19 pages long… i think everyone was very upset with the paper that at the end of the paper, we see balls of paper flying all over the lecture theatre…. hmmm… that ought to tell us all about the state of mind of everyone.
i also realised that i m taking a much longer time to adjust to the fact that i m having an exam. it takes forever for my mind to realise that. so all the papers starts the same way: get the paper, look at the first question, stare harder, attempt to comprehend. then the panic. and finally the sudden enlightenment followed by the feverish scribbling of answers. it happened fro math and chem, i hope it would not be the same for the last two papers. which both happen to imply neck aches due to the 3hour long durations!

UOB painting

These few days have been a long and tedious routine.
everyday would start early and at 9am to 6.30pm i would be in school, in a room at the art block painting for uob.
thank goodness for my fellow uob-painting painters (aka aepians. yibo, kaisheng, huijun, sze, val, honghu, longhao, honghu and jean in the other room.) who keep me at my work.
and when jianhao arrives… time to eat lunch together. haha. it is really a routine. every so often, you hear someone say… "i dun want to paint anymore!!!" (val and i) or…. "change the music."(val) "turn up the volume" and the munching of snacks. Every so often you see people stand very far back to admire their work or people walking around to stare at other people’s work. ‘a break’. we all need it. i feel eyes peering at my work from above (longhao) or from the side (yibo and val). it is quite an interesting atmosphere to work in really. 🙂
the best thing about working with everyone else is the constructive criticism. it seems that suddenly everyone could become an art teacher when it comes to other people’s works, commenting here and there. But when it comes to your own work however, we just can’t seem to see it sometimes. with the help of everyone else and the ‘occasional’ teacher, we manage to correct our mistakes. it is really a good learning experience and i believe that i have learnt a lot from this uob painting process. they say that ‘the process is more important than the product’. it is very true. i do not know how some people manage to work on their work entirely at home but i am just glad that i did not. Thanks to all my fellow aepians for always being there and i’m sure we give each other a lot of support (not to mention food… haha)!
i will be away in London and Paris till 20th. so…. till then! 🙂

old times.

so for the past few days i have been really busy. i had oac camp on mon to tues. it was tiring. challenging. yet… very fun! 🙂 i luv BULOH! yay!
wed was spent doing survey at esplanade with yuxuan, huihuan and teresa for pw. it was a blast and success really. met a lot of very sporting and supportive people. they went ‘good luck’ and all. plus many different ages and races. it was fun really. it was not the usual survey you do.. more interactive. i think the results were satisfactory too. i m proud of nj072.
thurs… whole day in school during vesak day. painting uob with yibo, huijun, jianhao, sze and long hao. we kept entertaining ourselves. and snacking. its a bad habit. thank goodness for the healthy grapes we were snacking on. 🙂 i painted my pencilcase! i have a long way to go…
today… met up with jane and yokteng!!1 to watch shrek3. it was short but on the whole funny. i like the donkey. he will always be my favourite. eddie murphy is talented and hilarious! 🙂 the sound system was way too loud though. my poor poor ears. walked over to taka for lunch at mos and then browsing! there isn’t much GSS as much i as i can see really. not that i really need anything in the first place. went to gramaphone. cheap vcds. they din have mr producer. then browsed kino. it was, as always, interesting and fun. the japanese are really good when it comes to products. i mean just look at the stationery! jane and i went crazy in there. but we restrained ourselves from paying for any ‘white elephants’. she almost got a windchime though. haha. then proceeded to creative hands. they had 50% off rubber stamps. thankfully, due to the sale their weren’t many nice designs left. so we left empty handed. then art friends. and this japanese-run shop, the workshops looked interesting! then stopped by miu studio to take a few shots of maki squarepatch dolls. so many of them at the display window! lastly… better toy stall. ahh… as usual a time to relive our childhood. they had sale on the pencils again. we went to the music box section and played every one. it was fun. but a bit ear-piercing after a while. (talking about ear-piercing, jane got her ears pierced! 🙂 ). had a field day with the ‘towerof hanoi’ and all the other nice wooden games at the stall. well, to end off the perfect day of catching up with the two of them, we went to eat venezia ice cream. we all have good taste! mint choc. haha. we shared a cup to save about 50% the price we had to pay if we bought separately. *feels happy with money saved* 🙂
